LUCAMA — Annice Creech Newman, 83, died Friday, March 3, 2017. Funeral will be 6 p.m. Monday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1423 Forest Hills Road NW, Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Newman Sr.; parents, Luther and Lillian Creech; granddaughter, Daughn Elizabeth Newman; sisters, Sarah Lee Talton, Evelyn Johnson and Louise Lamm; and brothers, Tommy, Ronald and Glenn Creech. She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Long (Steve) of Lucama, Sandra Newman of Ayden, Wanda Pope (Hershel) of Kenly and Judy Joyner (Ron) of Rocky Mount; sons, James Earl Newman Jr, (Sharon) of Lucama, Gene Newman (Mickey) of Greenville and Billy Newman (Magalie) of Greensboro; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brothers, L.D. Creech of Clinton and Jakie Creech (Betty) of Turbeville, South Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. Memorials are suggested to Wilson South Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness, c/o Steve Long, 7359 U.S. Highway 301 S, Lucama, NC 27851.
