Rose Marie (Whitson) Rodriguez

Rose Marie (Whitson) Rodriguez, a 62-year resident of California and a 41-year resident of Yucca Valley, died March 22, 2017, in Yucca Valley. She was 74 years old.

The daughter of John and Ivalois Whitson, she was born June 19, 1942, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She was a very caring person who had a great love for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her great-grandson Thomas Lorenzo Jimenez Rodriguez.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Rodriguez, son David Rodriguez, daughter Rhonda Cooper and her husband, John, sister Janet McGuire and her husband, David, and brother John Whitson and his wife, Linda, all of Yucca Valley; and son Rick Rodriguez and his wife, Nancy, of Onyx.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. April 8 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 7320 Lucerne Vista, Yucca Valley.
