2017 Regional Convention Outlines

Rogers, did you video them yourselves or gained through the convention or congregation elders? There are some who share their conventions and assemblies with those of us who are unable to travel to the site. Nothing secret, needing approval just love for the unadvantage of us. It would be great with the advance of technology to have the dates of the circuits and regionals loved streamed for those of us. That would render the need for video useless; but there still will be that small group that would need video. That is why we ask Rogers.

Bro. Houston, I assume, there is a specific instruction given at the outset of every session that no video, or recording, of any portion of the meeting, shall be made, except, for your own PERSONAL VIEWING. If you are a "brother", and have attended any assembly, or convention, then you have heard this announcement. If you have, then you know that the love that is of most importance is the love we show for Jehovah. In that same love, there is a link that the Elders have, that they can distribute to any whom THEY deem in good standing. Have you requested that link from your Elders? If not, I suggest that you, or whomever you are advocating for, contact the BOE and request that link. And "brother", I suggest that you consider: "However, brothers, concerning the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered together to him, we ask you 2 not to be quickly shaken from your reason nor to be alarmed either by an inspired statement or by a spoken message or by a letter appearing to be from us, to the effect that the day of Jehovah is here. 3 Let no one lead you astray in any way, because it will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness gets revealed, the son of destruction. 4 He stands in opposition and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits down in the temple of God, publicly showing himself to be a god." (2Thessalonains 2:1-4). There is a need have approval. The apostasy is something that we must guard against. I pray that my conversations with any on this site are not with "the apostasy". There are too many suggestions that are opposite what I know to be Branch instructions.

I have never asked my elders for th videos. As I have found out, we are part of 8 million brothers and sisters around the globe, who share out of love their convention experiences through the technology we have and by simply asking. I have not missed any convention and have been able to send them to my bedridden sister who has MS, terminally. This site maybe, a bit much, but it serves its purpose.  And Rogers, roll tide!

Thank you. I have downloaded them and can now enjoy them at my leisure, over and over again. Being housebound and unable to travel to the site, asking for the "link" from the elders has a certain timeframe for which it can be used. This way that restraint is avoided and I and my disabled wife can enjoy the spiritual feast at the pace our health will allow. Thank you again for your information. It was so helpful.
