    But kind strangers have raised more than the required money.

A dying 13-year-old's 'final wish' is nothing more than to return to her home from the hospital where she is being treated.

But for Phelicity Sneesby, who is suffering from a congenital heart defect, getting home is easier said than done - she is being treated at a specialist unit in the U.S., and home is Ballina, in New South Wales.

Phelicity, whose father Ben says 'knows she is probably coming home to die', just wants to swim in a pool with her sisters and have a meal with her family, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.    ;-))  

But until thousands of generous strangers stepped in, the US$150,000 cost of a special medical flight home looked unmanageable for the family.

She and her family have been travelling back and forth between NSW and the U.S. for most of her life so she could have the best treatment for hypoplastic left heart syndrome, which she was born with.

It affects blood flow, meaning she essentially only has half a heart.

The teen, who has had 28 operations so far, has also developed a condition that depletes protein from her intestines and affects her immune system - meaning she has little time left.

Her latest trip to the U.S. was for potentially life-saving surgery, but to no avail.

Her dad, Ben, has already returned home to Australia in a bid to return to work and help the family pay its bills.

Her mother, Veronica, stayed by Phelicity's bedside in the cardiac intensive care unit at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Ohio.

She wrote on the Go Fund Me page to tell the more than 2,600 people who had donated that 'You are all making me cry right now....thank you'.

Once they get her back to Australia, they intend to admit her to hospital in Brisbane, hoping she will get better, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

If her condition does not improve, however, they will bring her home again.

'You can't live like that,' Mr Sneesby said.

But the family remains positive.

Her father told the Sydney Morning Herald that despite it all, she was 'one of the most positive people' he had ever met'.

'Our little darling's journey is coming to an end,' he wrote on his Facebook page on Thursday.

'For years we have done everything possible to keep her alive, but there is nothing left to do.'

Getting Phelicity home was not so easy, as she required a special medical flight worth US$150,000 (about AU$212,00) -money her family does not have.

Mr Sneesby said the family was 'mortgaged up to the hilt', the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

But a Go Fund Me campaign was set up by a family friend on Tuesday.

In what is perhaps a silver lining in an otherwise sad story, in less than five days, the campaign raised more than the required amount.

That means Phelicity should be able to come home !

Two Brothers posted this past event in error, I notified them.
The newspaper also had information that was not correct.

I apologize any sadness or tears you all felt as I did. I thank Jehovah the truth was revealed and that now we can still pray for Phelicity. 

Veronica has also informed me "they are trying to return to Australia next week to be with the rest of her family."

Another sad example of Jehovah's Witness parents choosing obedience to gravely flawed doctrine over the life of their child.

In this case the girl's heart condition may very well have caused her to succumb regardless of medical decisions made. But that isn't the point this time.

She is from Australia and her JW parents flew her all the way to the US because there is a specific hospital in Ohio that is internally famous (amongst JWs) for its efforts to avoid giving blood transfusions to JW patients even when they need one. 

Her condition took a turn for the worse and she is terminal. She could not get home because the cost for a flight that can accommodate her medical needs is $150,000. 

Here is the worst part. The JW organization's televangelism arm, know as JW Broadcasting, actually featured this young girl in their February episode. But not for the reasons you might wish. It wasn't to help her. It was to help their own interests. 

She was cast in their episode as a brave young girl who was baptized in the faith and is someone to look up to because she has endured so much due to her heart condition. 

At no point do they mention that she is dying.

At no point do they mention that she has been stranded in the US due to vastly expensive flight it would take to get her back home

At no point do they mention that leadership's gravely flawed doctrine that prohibits blood transfusions as well as the acceptance of white cells, red cells, platelets and plasma is the reason her parents flew he to the US to begin with (so she could be in a hospital that wouldn't challenge her religious convictions)

At no point do they mention that a gofundme page has been started to help raise money to send her home 

At no point do they mention that of all the contributions received, not one penny was donated by the JW organization itself. 

And the reason? Leadership simply does not care. It has one concern and one concern only. Brand expansion. 

It will gladly feature a young lady like Phelicity for the purpose of producing video propaganda. But when it has the opportunity to provide charitable assistance during the final days of the very person they exploited, they are nowhere to be found. 

They recklessly take lives with their doctrine, and they disrespect those same lives as they take them.

I'm sorry Mr. Russell but you are making blanket statements based on...What?  You don't know but that the family requested that it not be included or even Phelicity herself.  Of what benefit would it be to them to run this story?  They do not make a financial gain on it!  Encouraging people to maintain faith during difficult circumstances is very important in todays world and this little girl has shown more faith and endurance in her short life than many people much older have done.  She is a fine example, not only to us older ones but also to the young ones who are still in the process of making decisions for themselves.  She did that on her own.  She made a decision to serve Jehovah in the fullest capacity that she could at a very early age because she LOVES Jehovah.  You are not giving her credit for any of that.  She is like a bright light in a very dark world and yet you would take that light and tarnish it by your comments.  Shame on you!
