Aubrey Eugene “Gene” Albertson, 79, of Summerville, Georgia, died on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at the Oakview Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Albertson was born June 26, 1937, in Monticello, KY, son of the late Roy Albertson and Ora Lewis Albertson Windle.  He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and prior to his retirement, was self-employed in the construction industry.  Mr. Albertson was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Korea. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Clint Albertson; and a sister, Dorothy Thompson.

Mr. Albertson is survived by his wife, Judie Albertson; children, Lonnie (Jullie) Albertson, Evan (Tammy) Albertson, Darrin (Terri) Albertson, Pam Sanders, Guy (Marcey) Albertson, Amy Albertson, Wendy (Andy) Howell, Douglas Albertson; brothers, Jack Albertson, Roy Albertson, and Randy Windle; sisters, Nancy Williams, and Judy Brown; grandchildren, Shelby Howell, Sophia Strickland, Kyle Albertson, Natasha Albertson, Junior Sanders, Summer Sanders, Curtis Brown, J. P. Brown, Kristin Albertson, Tiffany Bland, Taylor Singletary, Brian Pope, Misty Newsome, Morgan and Cierra Albertson; and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mr. Albertson will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Brother Leon Tucker officiating.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses from 2 p.m. until the hour of service on Saturday.
