MANNING - Mary Felder Miller, 90, widow of Leon Miller, died on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at her residence, 107 W. Huggins St., Manning.

She was born on Sept. 30, 1926, in the Jordan section of Manning, a daughter of the late Willie and Christine Robinson Felder. She received her formal education in the Clarendon County public school system. At an early age, she became a member of Mount Chapel Baptist Church in Manning, where she served with various ministries. Later in life, she joined the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She worked at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in the operating room as an operating room technician / aide for more than 30 years.

Those left to cherish her loving memory are her loving and devoted children, Harry L. Miller of the home, Timothy Miller (Malva) of Alcolu, Willie E. Miller (Viola) of Sumter, Northern Miller (Patricia) of Alcolu and Bobbie J. Boulware (Curtis) of Columbia; two sisters, Willie Mae Lemon of Baltimore and Mary A. (Herbert) Reid of Manning; a special friend-daughter, Juanita (Fladger) Parson; a special cousin and caregiver, Elma (Paul) Blackwell, and cousin, James Dingle; a special lifetime friend, Viola Lemon Cain; five brothers-in-law, Temple (Shirley) Miller of Hampton, Virginia, Sam (Liz) Miller of Sumter, Jonah (Ruth) Miller of Irvington, New Jersey, Arnett (Mary) Miller of Hampton and Aquilla (Shirley) Miller of Denmark; one sister-in-law, Nellie Miller of Honolulu; one additional brother-in-law, Andrew Poinsette of Charleston; one additional sister-in-law, Ruth Miller of Columbia; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

The celebratory services for Mrs. Miller will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Manning Junior High School, 1101 W.L. Hamilton Road, Manning, with the Rev. W.J. Frierson officiating, the Rev. Delbert Singleton presiding and Bishop George McKnight and the Rev. Charles Smith assisting. Burial will follow in Union Cypress Church Cemetery, Manning.

The family is receiving friends at her residence.

These services have been entrusted to Samuels Funeral Home LLC of Manning.
