MATTOON -- Ethel Louise Cantwell, age 77, of Mattoon passed away at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Presence Covenant Medical Center.

Memorial services honoring her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3322 Moultrie Avenue, Mattoon with Elder Jerry Weck officiating. Burial will take place at Zion Hill Cemetery at a later date. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the Kingdom Hall. Schilling Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Louise was born on October 29, 1939 in Mattoon the daughter of Herbert William and Ethel (Figenbaum) Boyd.

Survivors include her children, Tammy Cantwell and Johnna (Steve) Taylor both of Mattoon, IL; and grandchildren, Jacena Cantwell and Brittaney Douglas both of Mattoon, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Louise was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Mattoon, IL. She enjoyed going out in the ministry with her family and friends who were the joy of her life. Louise enjoyed traveling; Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean and the Mayan Ruins were a few of her most memorable trips. Most of all, Louise cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.

Memorial donations in her honor are suggest to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses of Mattoon.
