In Sochi, a believer was arrested for 10 days
September 6, 2017 in the Khosta district of Sochi, police detained two Jehovah's Witnesses, 16-year-old AY and 32-year-old Sergei Isaev, during a walk. After many hours of interrogation by the FSB, Sergei Isaev was arrested for 10 days on false charges of disobeying the police.
The casual passer-by recognized in the men of Jehovah's Witnesses and, noticing the policemen and the Cossack patrol, informed them that Jehovah's Witnesses were walking along the alley, "which are forbidden." The police and the Cossacks escorted the faithful to the police station, where they, including a minor, were interrogated until late at night. After midnight, Sergei Isaev was taken to the Sochi department of the FSB. Later it became known that Sergei was accused of insubordination by policemen. Allegedly, he "refused to sit in the car," although there was no car at all!
It is noteworthy that a few hours before the detention in the Khosta district of Sochi, policemen bypassed the homes of local Jehovah's Witnesses, trying to find out whether their co-religionists came to visit them, and whether there were foreigners among them.
