Hamilton Jr. William Pete September 5, 2017 William Pete Hamilton Jr., 61 of Daleville, Va., passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents William Pete Hamilton Sr. and Billie Joyce Keller Hamilton; and his older brother Jonathan Hamilton Sr. William was a member of the Troutville Congregation of Jehovah's Witness. He was always known for his selflessness and availability to help anyone he encountered. William freely opened his home and became a surrogate parent to so many. He was always the jokester and story teller who always made everyone smile and feel comfortable. William was an avid chess player, artist, motor sports enthusiast, lover of western films and music. He is survived by his loving wife, Nilda Hamilton; his four children, Damon and wife Jessi, William Jerrelle, Amanda and husband Chris, Jeremy and wife Allison; brother Michael; and sisters Joyce, Lynda, Mitzi and Yvonne; as well as eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. A celebration of William's life and memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Troutville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 70 Greenfield Street, Daleville, Va. 24083. He was known by William, Will, Pete, Dad, Daddy, brother and Papa. He was and always will be dearly loved and greatly missed by all. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home & Crematory. (540)366-0707.
