Why not? I don't see any reason for sisters to  be excluded from this assignment any way.

I do not see any reason why sister can not be in role or MS or elders, if she like/want that? NOT only in situation when there is no BAPTIZED male/brother/men. :))))

Are not "appointed"/for example/ sister enough qualified? She will be Priest and King/Queen in Heaven??? The same is with "appointed" brother. He will be.... something, too., in Heaven. Or, He will be something better than She???!!! 

Appointed or Regular all are equal !!!

Who was Deborah? First of all, SHE was Woman. But for all Sons of Israel SHE was Judge and Prophet. And all must obeyed HER Decisions. This example is for those who believe in Bible reports and in God who not loves males more than females. 

I do not see how these modest and humble characters of sisters can be so satisfied with "new duties", and can not see that/how macho/ patriarhal males inside JWorg only filling "holes" because that suits them in this particular moment. After when this need will no more be unnecessary, Corporation will put you where you "belong".... to clean toilets. :(((((  

Very sad. People should doing things in what they are good and have talents and wishes, calls if you want. And not because their gender determinate what he/she are expected, "predestined" by society  or ordered to do.

This might sound surprising but in the early sixties when I was a teenager I was asked to conduct the Tuesday night Book study about two or three times when the conductor did not show up.  There were a few men there but they asked me to do it because I appeared to be qualified to do it.  Laugh.

 

The Book Study was at my home and my head was covered, of course.

We had meeting for Cart Witnessing yesterday and now Women will be called: KEY MAN if no Brother qualifies but SHE DOES! Chuckle! It’s time! The Chariot is moving so fast my Son says from Bethel, no worrying just keep pace! Soon it will so fast ? it will be done ✅ before our eyes! Thank you for your support!

In those times cell phones not existed and regular home telephone was very rare, too.  He can not made a call, or forget to do that ... 2-3 times :))))))

In  our  congregation  we  never  need  a  microphone - sister  for  wandering    ONLY  by  giving  comments  or  on  the  stage  by  different  exercises,  thats  all !

This entire position of not using sisters because they might be put in a position to give brothers direction and violate scripture is just silly. When Paul commented about women instructing brothers he was specifically talking about in the meeting where brothers were supposed to take the lead. I mean really, what is wrong with sisters working behind the literature counter, handling microphones, directing traffic, or even directing friends to their seats. Oh well, times are changing.

When I was little, my mother used to be literature servant.  That was in the supposed day of small things.  Another sister was the accounts servant.  She used to step on he platform and read the accounts and step back down - head uncovered.  They were men in the congregation but they did not have the relevant education to do these things.  But we had to listen to them teach, and some of them had not much ability but they were willing to do their parts.

Seems like those were progressive days, then.

I think that we must not forget the fact how Paul was a Jew and despite the fact how "new religion, new religious system" was established by Jesus, major number of all first Christians was Jews and they just imitate and replicate many things from their old religion as Jews. Also social, society environment until today was/is "This is a Man's World".

W.H.Conely was the 1 President of Zion's WTTS with Joseph Russell (Charles father) as Vice president and Charles as secretary/treasurer. After few years Charles became President and his wife Maria was secretary-treasurer. 

Today woman can only be bookkeeper, or writing some articles inside corporation.....and maybe have some secret influence on their highly positioned husbands, and eventually in such role put "women's"  influence on movement and corporal or spiritual things. :)))
