A confident American Airlines CEO Doug Parker. Between low oil prices and finding more ways to squeeze money out of passengers, AA looks to keep the good times rollin’.

Major consolidation in the U.S. airline industry has the carriers on top sitting pretty. It’s even caught the eye of one Warren Buffett, who recently poured $10 billion into the four major players: Delta, United, American, and Southwest. 

And no wonder, the Big Four control 80% of the domestic market, air traffic is growing 3.3% YoY, and fuel prices remain low. It’s an ecosystem that’s got aviation bosses feeling pretty, pretty good. The CEO of American Airlines bragged, “I don’t think we’re ever going to lose money again.” 

Well, in the absence of European-like competition, that may not be so unreasonable.

• A computer glitch has left 15,000 American Air flights without a pilot in December.

Meanwhile a disgruntled mechanic of theirs is sabotaging their flights to get more overtime..... and fight back against low pay....

Nope.... I don't think American Airlines will ever lose money again.... LOL
