Lester was a rock layer and had worked over 35 years for HMI Fireplace Shop in Osage Beach, Missouri. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle.

Lester J. Holder, age 85, of Linn Creek passed away Friday, November 10 at Lake Regional Health System.

Lester was born December 10, 1931 in Redbud, Missouri. He was the son of Carl and Edith (Hayes) Holder.

On March 24, 1951 in Richland, Missouri, Lester was united in marriage to his one true love, Cleo Percival. They shared over 66 wonderful years together as husband and wife.

Lester was a rock layer and had worked over 35 years for HMI Fireplace Shop in Osage Beach, Missouri. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle. His hobbies included spending time outdoors, working on his vehicles, and tinkering in the garage. But his true passion was talking to people about the Bible.

Lester was baptized in 1976 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and remained a member of the Camdenton, Missouri Congregation.

Lester is survived by his loving wife, Cleo; two daughters, Joyce Goldsberry and husband Phil, of Montreal; and Regina Snow and husband, Mark, of Linn Creek; his brother, George Holder of Springfield, Illinois; his sisters, Gloria Garst and husband, Larry, of Palmyra, Illinois; Cleo Kay Bishop of Springfield, Illinois; and Dorothy Peck of Panama City, Florida; ten grandchildren, Shelley, Jamie, Craig Paul, Amanda, Laura, Jessica, Maria, Janoah, Roger, and Stephen; nineteen great-grandchildren, Corrine, Ben, Dominick, Skylar, Tommie, Shianne, Devin, Tristen, Dyson, Kalliope, Colton, Sidney, Piper, Aiden, Rylan, Jason, Jessica, Shane, and Emily; one great-great grandson, Ryder; and one great-great grandchild on the way.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Edith Holder; five brothers, Carl, Don, Marvin, Murvin, and Gerald; and three sisters, Mary Arnold, Annie Baskett, and Rosie Holder.

Services for Lester will be held Saturday, November 18 at 2 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 43 Trailer Road, Camdenton.
