ZAMBOANGA, Filipinas (AP) — Inundaciones repentinas y deslaves desencadenadas por una tormenta tropical en el sur de Filipinas arrasaron con personas y casas, provocando al menos 120 personas muertas y otras 160 desaparecidas en plena temporada de desplazamientos por viajes y preparativos navideños, informaron las autoridades el sábado.

La mayoría de las muertes causadas por la tormenta tropical Tembin se produjeron en las provincias de Lanao del Norte y Lanao del Sur y en la península de Zamboanga, según un informe inicial del gobierno sobre las víctimas.
