Betty Ann Young, 80, of Cadiz, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at her residence.

Mrs. Young was born on Sept. 20, 1937, in Nebo, to the late Ollie and John Stanley.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Ricky Stanley; grandson, Daniel Martin; and granddaughters, Jonnie Renee Young.

Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a Jehovah's Witness and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Princeton.

She is survived by her husband, William "Red" Young; children, Remonda "Monie" Sharp, Sheri (Richard) Martin, Kevin (Troy) Wiggins; stepchildren, Sally Jo (John) Dossett, Johnny (Diane) Young; brothers, Jerry (Cindy) Stanley and Danny (Gloria) Stanley; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Basham officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Island Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from noon until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Martin, DJ Lundy, Seth Rogers, Trent Lundy, Collin Hendricks and Sean Lloyd.
