Today, I learned that the elders are directing publishers who do cart witnesses to print out the new child abuse policy printout on the website. The instructions are to not say anything, don’t argue, just hand the paper and stay silent.

@Jack Ryan To call on all JWs scared is silly, we cannot judge or take into account the action of one, perhaps two JWs vs others out of the 8 million within their community, all of them are different, by race, experience, background, etc, all of them, male and female of various ages, some able bodied, others with disabilities and or something that hinders them. Haven't you seen African JWs or the Middle Eastern ones? Ones with a strong cultural background tend to speak on even the most critical of issues, even critical bible questions of which many shy away from. Moreover, this goes for pretty much both the religious and non-religious who are open to speak about and teach child abuse prevention, teaching about strangers and how to protect yourself and a list of other things, some better than others when speaking about this matter. We cannot be ignorant here. That is like saying a specific race did something so we blame all of them, perhaps law enforcement and how they are treated for the actions of some other officer on the other side of the country.

Open your eyes, man. The irony is, it is fact hen it comes to the bible, such ones who speak ill are afraid to go up against an experience, let alone a strong able person. This was the case with Mr. White, bashing the faith, only to be met with someone from the faith and being corrected and made a fool of.

This week one of the Earth's Intellectual Giants died ... Charles Krauthammer ... and having listened to his razor sharp clarity and dry humor for years, I am truly saddened and depressed by his death.

I agree with Space Merchant, that there as many types of JWs as there are people in general .... some are terrified by everything .. some NOTHING terrifies them. 

It seems the higher you go, the more scared they are.  This has been true since World War II, when the rank-and-file brothers held firm against Nazi terror, and "management" caved and compromised.

It is very hard to get razor sharp clarity in one's perspective and observations, but one thing is sure.

The more words you use, the probability of clarity greatly diminishes.

Krauthammer once said the way to solve the Immigration Crisis letting terrorists into the United States is making each captured illegal eat a bacon sandwich.

Actually, this is very VERY good advice from an organizational viewpoint ... because about this particular subject  ( ... about this particular subject ... ) most JWs are as ignorant as a rock, having NOT been told about what is really going on, and having no natural curiosity that demands they become well informed. 

It's like a  large flock of Turkeys, realizing it is pouring rain, they look up to see what is going on ... and they all drown.
