Hmm! Let’s see. 4 and 8. What does that make them, children or an adult with a hunger for a child? That you (sod!) is meaningless rhetoric. Much of what you, TTH, JTR, and Anna are accustomed to. No different from those (ponce) ex-witnesses that have no life but to be here spewing their venom while JTR defends them against bullies while being a bully himself. Yet he has the nerve to question my state of mind when you people are worse, good one JTR. Everything a pedophile would think of.

The Supreme Court Rejected a Case About the Jehovah’s Witnesses and Sex Abuse By Hemant Mehta October 8, 2019

I have been married to my wife for 40 years, less one. (39). She is 4 years older than I am, which means that there was a time when she was 8 and I was only 4! The shame!!

divergenceKO: Apparently the fat lady has sang, and for the corrupt Watchtower Lawyers who care ONLY about their client's monetary interest (... as they are actually legally responsible to do ...

an adult with a hunger for a child?

When I visited Warwick a few months back, Sister Marina Sydlik was at the Sunday meeting I attended. I was sitting about 7 rows from the front and she was two rows from the front the whole time, but I didn't notice her until she was called on for a comment in the Watchtower Study. Back in the 1970s and 1980s she was also in the Art Department. She was very professional yet always friendly, and got along well with all the young persons, but not necessarily so well with the older sisters. I don't think this was her fault at all. There was kind of a joke going around Bethel and, unfortunately, it got back to her. Bethelites were calling her "the hot young babe." There were some Bethelites who would would pass her in the hallways, and then turn to the Bethelite next to them and whisper "Hey, who's the hot young babe?" just to get a laugh.

She was basically "our age" (she looked to be in her late twenties) while Dan Sydlik, a member of the Governing Body, looked to be in his early sixties, when I worked with Marina. Best I could guess, she was about 32 years younger than him. The rumor (based perhaps partly on things Sydlik had joked about) was that he had known the family for years and had liked Marina from the time she was a little girl.

She had a lot of money from her family, and she offered to loan some of her expensive jewelry to be worn by those  who would be photographed for images in the publications. After that she was sometimes asked to loan jewelry again. She was used as an Art Department model too, on occasion. She was always nervous about her jewelry getting lost, and on one occasion something was lost for a while causing EVERYONE to get nervous, but then it was found. I don't know why they had to use real jewelry anyway.

What are your guess about age difference in David and Shulamite girl case?

Abishag (Hebrew: אבישג‎ Avishag) was a beautiful person of Shunem, who, when brought to David, was a na'arah which is a girl between 12 and 12.5 years yet too young to bear children.[1][2], According to the Hebrew Bible, she was chosen to be a helper and servant to kingDavid in his old age.[3] Among Abishag's duties was to lie next to David and pass along her animal heat and vigor ("they put covers on him, but he could not get warm"),[4], while not having sex with him (1 Kings 1:4).[5] - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abishag

When King David was very old, he could not keep warm even when they put covers over him. So his attendants said to him, “Let us look for a young virgin to serve the king and take care of him. She can lie beside him so that our lord the king may keep warm.”  Then they searched throughout Israel for a beautiful young woman and found Abishag, a Shunammite, and brought her to the king. The woman was very beautiful; she took care of the king and waited on him, but the king had no sexual relations with her. - 1. King

- young virgin

-beautiful young woman

- woman was very beautiful

It is significant to notice, in context that @Foreigner put all this conversation about "age difference and sexual attraction to younger or older children (minors) and to adult young people", how Old Israel Nation have no problem with this issue. And Bible said nothing against this "preferences, affinity or appetite ". I said Bible, because many JW's, as @Foreigner , want to explain us how something is "wrong" because Bible said so or because WT Society said so.

Well, obviously, what is wrong in one social group and time period, it is not in other group and time.

Don't know.

Of course, in David's case it was others in the royal entourage making the choice for him. In the account, he didn't ask for a virgin, but if not a virgin then the woman would have belonged to someone else, or would have likely been involved in sin or scandal. If they asked a man to snuggle up to him for the purposes of producing the right temperature of body heat, that might not have created the best "optics." But of course, David surely still had some older wives who would surely have been able to produce about the same level of body heat as this virgin. I always had the impression that this was the Bible's admission of a certain kind of senility on the part of David to think he needed this sort of thing, or else the royal house just assumed that this was in line with his wishes.

Srecko, I just received and email from “foreigner”. This person is BANNED from this site for abusive language toward TTH, JTR, JWinsider, and Anna at the request of JWinsider according to the ADMIN TTH. Yet, JTR and TTH can be abusive in their language.

Apparently, the Admin has gone to great lengths to include those the Admin thinks are associated with foreigner. Meaning people like Allen_Smith and others have been banned for abusive language which makes it a lie!

Are you seriously going to attempt to include bible times with the strict laws imposed by modern nations in order to persuade in some cases third world nations that accept child marriage as a standard of life?

I would suggest you look at the term “child abuse” more broadly than just pedophilia as it is done in this forum.

Admin, that doesn’t mean you can ban the truth, this just means your actions will be more proof to regulate Facebook, Twitter, and Amazon when it comes to ad-driven websites that are compromised by hate speech, which includes the for-mentioned and ex-witnesses.

Since California sets precedents, I will include your actions for consideration.

If you ban me for speaking the truth, I will have no choice but to sue TTH and JW insider on your behalf.

I guess, 15-30 kg of hot bricks would give enough heat :)))

As general view, men prefer young and beautiful women :))

... yes, perhaps others who have been long enough with David understand what would/will make him happy :))

I have no need "to persuade" anyone on  anything about bible times and our standard of life. We have some written history about what we make some comments, talking, arguing, giving different perspective on same events, making critics or questioning why .....etc.

Without books, TV or internet we would not knew nothing about first, second or third world and how people living. Or to make questions why they living that way and not by our way.

    • By the way, if you're into stuff like this, you might wanna check out https://thepythagoras.com/. They have some neat articles about ancient civilizations and their contributions to science and math. It’s really interesting how much we owe to these early thinkers.
    • The Dendera Zodiac is such an amazing piece of history. Imagine ancient Egyptians looking up at the same stars we do now and creating this detailed map. It's mind-blowing! So, what do I think about it? I think it's a fascinating blend of art and astronomy. Those ancient folks really knew their stuff. The way they incorporated their gods and mythologies into the constellations is just brilliant. And it's not just about the stars, it’s a glimpse into how they viewed the universe and their place in it.
    • FIFA's collaboration with Algorand represents a significant milestone for blockchain technology. Algorand will serve as the official blockchain platform for FIFA, supporting events such as the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023 and the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022. This partnership is poised to enhance FIFA's digital asset management while boosting Algorand's visibility through advertising and promotional opportunities. On another note, I've been tuning into African football recently. The match between Kanifing East FC and Latrikunda United was unexpectedly impressive. African football often goes underappreciated, yet the skill and enthusiasm in these matches are evident. We can expect even more significant development and excitement in African football with increased attention and support.
