A DPA question

What is the procedure to follow in case I travel to another country and want to avoid a blood transfusion in a case of accident? For instance my DPA is in Spanish and is according to my country of residence laws, but would that document be valid in another country where another language is spoken? Does the organization issue another kind of documents?

I wanted to stay out of this because of the way the answer might sound worse than I hope it sounds. I think the real answer should acknowledge both of your ideas. Because I think the policy chang

I used to have a medical alert bracelet- I better get it fixed. Here in Georgia they do not respect the DPA - unless you are a foreigner.

If memory serves there is a max of 16 characters per line.

NAME

STREET ADDRESS

CITY AND ZIP CODE (NO STATE LISTED)

NO BLOOD OR

BLOOD FRACTIONS

Carry both dog tags on a stainless steel beaded ball chain around your neck. (Standard practice). After they warm up, you will forget they are there.

No doctor anywhere in the world, smart or stupid, will violate THAT.

They will NOT give you blood without first looking for a medical alert bracelet, or necklace. When they see YOURS, in this format, they will not give you blood.

If they do not speak the language, they will look it up.

Question: (serious question open to all)

When something is said to be a “conscience matter”—as the “blood fractions” today is said to be—does that mean that there IS a right and a wrong to it, but Jehovah allows “wiggle room” “on account of our hardheartedness”?

Or

Does it mean that there legitimately are two different ways of looking at a matter, and he really does encourage us to use our conscience in choosing the course that seems the most reasonable to us?

Does this mean that you rely on your GB to tell you it is a “conscience matter” ?

Can you not decide from your own Bible reading what is right in God's eyes ?

Quote "Does it mean that there legitimately are two different ways of looking at a matter, .. ? "

Tom, who decides if it is 'legitimate' or not ?  Are you not therefore just doing the things your GB tells you to do ?

I would use the scripture at Matthew 12 v 9 through 12 myself.

Verse 12   How much more valuable is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful to do a fine thing on the Sabbath.

Was Jesus just allowing 'wiggle' room to do a fine thing on the Sabbath ? I don't think so. I think Jesus was setting a pattern for us to follow. For us to know in OUR hearts what is right. Not to rely on other men to decide for us.

Not you—don’t you ever think?

If I need a jack-in-the-box that says to every comment “Jehovah’s Witnesses Suck” I’ll go to the store and buy one.

    • By the way, if you're into stuff like this, you might wanna check out https://thepythagoras.com/. They have some neat articles about ancient civilizations and their contributions to science and math. It’s really interesting how much we owe to these early thinkers.
    • The Dendera Zodiac is such an amazing piece of history. Imagine ancient Egyptians looking up at the same stars we do now and creating this detailed map. It's mind-blowing! So, what do I think about it? I think it's a fascinating blend of art and astronomy. Those ancient folks really knew their stuff. The way they incorporated their gods and mythologies into the constellations is just brilliant. And it's not just about the stars, it’s a glimpse into how they viewed the universe and their place in it.

Algorand will serve as the official blockchain platform for FIFA, supporting events such as the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023 and the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022. This partnership is poised to enhance FIFA's digital asset management while boosting Algorand's visibility through advertising and promotional opportunities. On another note, I've been tuning into African football recently. The match between Kanifing East FC and Latrikunda United was unexpectedly impressive. African football often goes underappreciated, yet the skill and enthusiasm in these matches are evident. We can expect even more significant development and excitement in African football with increased attention and support.
