Going on from what Khadtgar, aJW who is in one of the Christian discussion groups elsewhere, stated, some of the members partook in small groups, and some used video conference, at times, depending on where they are located, it was a combination of both.

That being said, regarding the bread and wine, my family did this in the household, granted we did have 5 guests over, who, escaped from New York before the restrictions kicked in.

I think you have stated the question very well and have already implied the answers. Yes, some see it as a ritual. But it really is a ritual, just as baptism is a ritual that is not optional. Som

I have noticed many friends seem to be stressing about the acquisition of the memorial symbols during the coronavirus lockdown. There have been quite a few discussions on social media and in person.

Anna, my husband and I put it in front of us so the bread and wine could be prayed over and passed it to each other.  As a tactile person I like to hold the glass and plate for a brief second to think about it for a brief second so as to feel part of a celebration. It felt like a ceremony to me.... the memory of an inauguration.

Speaking of religious experiences ........

This morning I personally celebrated being alive with the contemporary emblems of Western Society ... doughnuts and coffee ..... and the memory of a sugar and caffeine high.

I was a partaker.

And no ... I don't want to get into a discussion about scones and crumpets, whatever they are.

Well done James. Mine was coffee and a bowl of cereal. Then I too celebrated being alive by breaking the 'lock down', and at 8.30 am, going for a three hour walk in the woodland. Justified it by continuing my walk via the Chemist to pick up medication.

As for jam and cream scones, yum yum. But then I'm in England.

As for Arauna's 'celebration' / 'ceremony' um, some folks definitely seem to need physical things to cling to.

We did that too as my husband wished it. It was a bit comical though because he got up and passed the emblems like an attendant at the KH. Was it perhaps too ceremonious in view of this illustrative interpretation of how it might have really looked?

At least when it's just the two of you, imitating that "bosom position" thing doesn't seem so awkward. Try that at the Hall!

*** it-1 p. 219 Attitudes and Gestures ***
In the reclining manner of eating that was practiced during the days Jesus was on earth, to lean on another’s bosom was an attitude of intimate friendship or favor, and this was known as the bosom position. (Joh 13:23, 25) This custom was the basis of the illustrations in Luke 16:22, 23 and John 1:18.

    • By the way, if you're into stuff like this, you might wanna check out https://thepythagoras.com/. They have some neat articles about ancient civilizations and their contributions to science and math. It’s really interesting how much we owe to these early thinkers.
    • The Dendera Zodiac is such an amazing piece of history. Imagine ancient Egyptians looking up at the same stars we do now and creating this detailed map. It's mind-blowing! So, what do I think about it? I think it's a fascinating blend of art and astronomy. Those ancient folks really knew their stuff. The way they incorporated their gods and mythologies into the constellations is just brilliant. And it's not just about the stars, it’s a glimpse into how they viewed the universe and their place in it.

Algorand will serve as the official blockchain platform for FIFA, supporting events such as the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023 and the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022. This partnership is poised to enhance FIFA's digital asset management while boosting Algorand's visibility through advertising and promotional opportunities. On another note, I've been tuning into African football recently. The match between Kanifing East FC and Latrikunda United was unexpectedly impressive. African football often goes underappreciated, yet the skill and enthusiasm in these matches are evident. We can expect even more significant development and excitement in African football with increased attention and support.
