That is debatable because you are most probably the most self-righteous person on this forum. You are the one always justifying your hate by abuse of scripture.

If I have abused scripture, then prove it, with scripture.  I wish you could see just who the "self-righteous" are - the GB who exalt their own "word" over that of God's.

Thus the Lord God showed me: Behold, a basket of summer fruit. 2 And He said, “Amos, what do you see?”

So I said, “A basket of summer fruit.”

Then the Lord said to me:

The end has come upon My people Israel;
I will not pass by them anymore.

The Lord has sworn by the pride of Jacob:
Surely I will never forget any of their works.
Shall the land not tremble for this,
And everyone mourn who dwells in it?

All of it shall swell like the River,
Heave and subside
Like the River of Egypt.

“And it shall come to pass in that day,” says the Lord God,
“That I will make the sun go down at noon,
And I will darken the earth in [d]broad daylight;
10 I will turn your feasts into mourning,
And all your songs into lamentation;
I will bring sackcloth on every waist,
And baldness on every head;
I will make it like mourning for an only son,
And its end like a bitter day.

“Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord God,
“That I will send a famine on the land,
Not a famine of bread,
Nor a thirst for water,
But of hearing the words of the Lord.
12 They shall wander from sea to sea,
And from north to east;
They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord,
But shall not find it.

“In that day the fair virgins
And strong young men
Shall faint from thirst.
14 Those who swear by the sin of Samaria, ( ironically meaning, "watch tower")
Who say,
‘As your god lives, O Dan!’
And, ‘As the way of Beersheba lives!’
They shall fall and never rise again.”  From Amos 8

This prophesy concerns God's chosen people - today - "Israel".

God does not vindicate a people who hide their sins and chose to rule by the desires of men.

Reports on the internet grapevine say that his disfellowshipping was announced at his congregation's midweek Zoom meeting last week. SOURCE It was inevitable, and he knew it would end like

Thank you for this information. If it is true then it does indeed prove his point. Of course the blind JWs will defend their god the GB. It is who they worship and they just cannot see beyond th

.....or they will be removed by human hands aka new policy, new people in management structure, "new light" about GB and so on.

While I am happy to know about this persons book,  I am fortunately not an admirer of persons - no matter how good a scholar they may be because they are just human.  Scholars are prone to all the failings other humans have and sometimes more prideful - unfortunately.  I wish him well.  Now that he needs the support of fellow witnesses, he has set himself up in a lonely way because he thought he could ride the top of the tidal wave on his scholarliness - get attention for his profession and not for Jehovah's glory..

He will have to show humility to return....

Hello Tom, I hope you are well.

It is odd that you over generalise on things. But I'm sure you will show us all proof of your above statement.

Have a good day.

It was not a generalization - it is true.  People lap up what scholars say..... even if they say that Moses stole the events of the new testament from the Sumerians, stole the law from Hammurabi etc etc.  (there is no substantial proof of this because the law of Moses is so different from Hammurabi's laws.... if one reads it) but yet people lap it up and believe it....

But what Tom said was : It is odd that so many here will deride scholars for their view on evolution—and will lap up whatever they have to say on every other point.

Whereas you @Arauna are talking about people generally...

It gets a little irritating when someone deliberately tries to change direction. But i suppose I'm just as guilty at times :(

Maybe he'll start his own unified jw splinter group like these:

The following is a list of splinter groups from the Watchtower Society. So much for unity! How many do you recognize?

Bible Studies Fellowship, headquarters in San Diego, Ca.
Bible Way Publications, Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.
Christian Millennial Fellowship, Hartford, Conn. Publishes the New Creation magazine.
Christian Renewal Ministry, Saratoga, Ca.
Church of God of Abraham, Wenatchee, Wa. Publishes Notes for Bible Students newsletter
Dawn Bible Students, East Rutherford, N.J. One of the original splinter groups formed after Joseph Rutherford became president of
the Watchtower Society
Fort Worth Bible Students, Ft. Worth, Tx. Republishes older W.T. Society literature
Laodicean Home Missionary, John Krewson, Ft. Myers, Fl.
Laymen's Home Missionary Movement, Raymond Jolly, Chester Springs, Pa. Publishes the Bible Standard and Herald of Christ's
Kingdom newsletter. {In turn, a splinter group came out of this group: Epiphany Bible Students Association, Mount Dora, Fl.
Publishes a newsletter under the group's name}
Pastoral Bible Institute, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

There is a group under Hayiland Davis, Albany, N.Y. I'm not sure of the name.

In Africa there is a group that originated in the 1920s called Kitawala Movement.

If anyone knows of other groups, please feel free to include them.

    • By the way, if you're into stuff like this, you might wanna check out https://thepythagoras.com/. They have some neat articles about ancient civilizations and their contributions to science and math. It’s really interesting how much we owe to these early thinkers.
    • The Dendera Zodiac is such an amazing piece of history. Imagine ancient Egyptians looking up at the same stars we do now and creating this detailed map. It's mind-blowing! So, what do I think about it? I think it's a fascinating blend of art and astronomy. Those ancient folks really knew their stuff. The way they incorporated their gods and mythologies into the constellations is just brilliant. And it's not just about the stars, it’s a glimpse into how they viewed the universe and their place in it.
    • FIFA's collaboration with Algorand represents a significant milestone for blockchain technology. Algorand will serve as the official blockchain platform for FIFA, supporting events such as the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023 and the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022. This partnership is poised to enhance FIFA's digital asset management while boosting Algorand's visibility through advertising and promotional opportunities. On another note, I've been tuning into African football recently. The match between Kanifing East FC and Latrikunda United was unexpectedly impressive. African football often goes underappreciated, yet the skill and enthusiasm in these matches are evident. We can expect even more significant development and excitement in African football with increased attention and support.
    • The partnership between FIFA and Algorand is a big step for blockchain technology. Algorand will be the official blockchain platform for FIFA, sponsoring events like the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023 and the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022. This partnership will help FIFA with digital assets and provide advertising and promotional opportunities for Algorand.
