Yes- I think the new world will be interesting.... to see animals return to their original purpose.  Pre-flood: with the earth more lush and green-house esque......due to the water canopy, many animals were much larger than today. Animals adapt to their environment which includes weather and  abundance of food and water. 

I was shocked when I saw a dinosaur which looks like the Indian rhino today.... just much bigger. ....  made me realize we know very little.

I can easily visualize in my mind‘s eye, in the new system a Brother down at the water’s edge wading out into the Atlantic Ocean with a bale of hay to feed the sharks, and as the fins circle his waist, being thoroughly surprised, by a happy, smiling shark.

Sharks are actually the cleaning mechanism of the ocean. They have turned to eating meat but they can change in future. They definitely have teeth that are replaced regularly...... there were many tough plants on this earth before which grew humongous.  We can only speculate and look at what we see now.

We can only speculate and imagine what MIGHT have been the case before sharks developed the direction finding ability to follow a blood trail from a thousand feet away, based on whether their left or right nostril detected ONE MORE molecule of blood than the OTHER nostril.

It is obvious from the design a 454 engine Corvette is not to haul lumber.….. same with sharks.

Corvettes also make very poor clown cars.

There are many animals which smell blood from far away (central nervous system). Some of them are omnivores. Dogs are pretty good smellers and yet there is a south American dog that lives on starchy foods and survives. So there are many anomalies. One must therefore be careful not to paint with a "one-story-only" brush.

Genesis 1:30 - And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

NWT-(Genesis 1:29, 30) . . .. 30 And to every wild animal of the earth and to every flying creature of the heavens and to everything moving on the earth in which there is life, I have given all green vegetation for food.” And it was so.
 

Will this do? Depending on interpretation, some bible use a more literal understanding. Now are you referring between the time God developed the Garden or after, before the flood? I believe there was a previous post about that argument.

Jehovah is the Best Dad💖. Of course He'll bring them back. He didn't have everything written down in the Bible because it's already a big enough book. There is enough information there about His personality to let us know that of course He will bring back favorite pets for His children. (Jesus said we would understand it if we read it with the heart of a kid.)

 

If scientists can clone critters, how much more so Jehovah can bring back the originals. If Jehovah can resurrect Jesus into a spirit creature, how much more so He can resurrect your little kitty cat or doggy. Don't you think Jesus would? Of course he would. Can you imagine Jesus saying "no"? He'll be there in the Paradise. He's not going to say "no". He's going to give every good desire of your heart. You know Jehovah. He is the One who does "more than superabundantly beyond all you can ask or conceive."

 

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, And your ways are not my ways,” declares Jehovah.  “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So my ways are higher than your ways And my thoughts than your thoughts."

It's a total no-brainer. God is Love. If the little kid in your heart wants your puppy back, it's already as good as done. Jehovah will do it. He Causes To Become. Praise Jehovah.💖
