I will ask answer your questions Pudgy —

Judge Samson was not suicidal, nor was Jesus Christ. They both were carrying out commissions assigned to them by our Life Giver and Ultimate Judge.

Prior to Samson’s birth, an angel appeared to his mother telling her that her son would be assigned a Nazarite role from birth and “take the lead in saving Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.“ (Judges 13:1–5, 24; 16:17)

Jehovah spirit was operative upon Samson many times during his life and he remained faithful until his death as we find him listed in Hebrews 11:32-34. Rightly there, among men of faith.

We have no reason to believe that when Samson prayed for power to avenge himself, for the ghoulish gouging which resulted in the loss of both of his eyes, and braced himself to push down the pillars in the Temple of Dagon, where the Philistines were taunting him, that he understood that he would die in the process.

1 Samuel 16:14–23

Jehovah may have delivered him from those fiends in that way.

The Israelites that were sent into multitudinous battles were not suicidal. Jehovah assigned them as Executioners and Cleansers of the Promised Land. He showed his power through them and removed his power from them as some sort of object lesson.

King Saul sinned presumptuously against Jehovah multiple times. He was rejected by God and “a bad spirit from Jehovah terrorized him”.  Having withdrawn his spirit from Saul, Jehovah made it possible for a bad spirit to gain possession of him.  (1 Samuel 16:14–23)

In this demonized state, King Saul became murderous toward faithful David. (1 Samuel 23-27)

Saul turn to spiritism (1 Samuel 29:3) A transgression worthy of death (Leviticus 20:6)

When Saul chose to end his death by suicide, no one could say that he had Jehovah’s favor.

A person committing suicide is not thinking rationally.

Perhaps in some cases. Mentally illness or not. God will make that distinction. What we can't say, What will God do when judging a person. You and @Pudgy are animate to affirm, suicide is not a sin, when scripture says otherwise.

I really don't see the point of discussing whether suicide is a sin or not.

Then consider this example an ask yourself. How many sins did this person commit before considering suicide?

You and @Pudgy aren't seeing the full picture of what scripture relates.

*** wp16 No. 1 p. 8 Give Me Just One Year of Peace and Happiness ***
When I was 15 years old, my mother encouraged me to get out of the house and make some friends. So I began to leave home for longer and longer periods of time. Soon I fell into bad company. One day a man, who seemed friendly, approached me. He offered me drugs, which I took because I wanted to appear grown-up. I was quickly drawn into an underworld of drugs and immorality. On many occasions, I was violated sexually. Life became unimportant to me; I did not care if I lived or died. I was desperately lonely. At age 16, I attempted suicide by drinking a bottle of whiskey and jumping into a lake. I wound up in a coma for three days.

    • By the way, if you're into stuff like this, you might wanna check out https://thepythagoras.com/. They have some neat articles about ancient civilizations and their contributions to science and math. It’s really interesting how much we owe to these early thinkers.
    • The Dendera Zodiac is such an amazing piece of history. Imagine ancient Egyptians looking up at the same stars we do now and creating this detailed map. It's mind-blowing! So, what do I think about it? I think it's a fascinating blend of art and astronomy. Those ancient folks really knew their stuff. The way they incorporated their gods and mythologies into the constellations is just brilliant. And it's not just about the stars, it’s a glimpse into how they viewed the universe and their place in it.
    • FIFA's collaboration with Algorand represents a significant milestone for blockchain technology. Algorand will serve as the official blockchain platform for FIFA, supporting events such as the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023 and the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022. This partnership is poised to enhance FIFA's digital asset management while boosting Algorand's visibility through advertising and promotional opportunities. On another note, I've been tuning into African football recently. The match between Kanifing East FC and Latrikunda United was unexpectedly impressive. African football often goes underappreciated, yet the skill and enthusiasm in these matches are evident. We can expect even more significant development and excitement in African football with increased attention and support.

Algorand will be the official blockchain platform for FIFA, sponsoring events like the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023 and the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022. This partnership will help FIFA with digital assets and provide advertising and promotional opportunities for Algorand.
