"However, E·liʹsha sent a messenger to tell him: “Go, wash seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored, and you will be clean.”

At this Naʹa·man became indignant and started to leave, saying: “Here I said to myself, ‘He will come out to me and stand here and call on the name of Jehovah his God, moving his hand back and forth over the leprosy to cure it.’  Are not the A·baʹnah and the Pharʹpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Can I not wash in them and become clean?” With that he turned and went away in a rage.

His servants now approached him and said: “My father, if the prophet had told you to do something extraordinary, would you not do it? How much more, then, since he only said to you, ‘Wash and be clean’?”

At that he went down and plunged into the Jordan seven times, according to the word of the man of the true God. Then his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little boy, and he became clean."

yeah … I remember Eddie. Always pretending he was not Eddie Haskell, from “Leave it to Beaver”.  When he grew up he became. LAPD cop, so he could still bully people around.

It’ simple math! 1.2.3.4. 1.) if Eduardo = Edward, then 2.) Albert = Alfred, and  3.) Edward = Alfred, and therefore 4.) Alfred Einstein was the Batman’s Butler! Seeee ?

Cut-n-paste, it's the wave of the future, lol...

Seriously, though, prayer - what's the big deal? Why not try it?

"Naaman", I know I'm just a "little girl" as far as understanding a lot of the life experience and battles you have gone through, and I know you have to keep up appearances. But really, who of your acquaintances will know if you try? What do you have to lose? Nothing. Evolutionary theorists believe in nothing anyway - they believe the end of life is nothing. You only have something to gain by trying. Why not just give it a try? (You just might like it!😃)

Do you type all that, or transcribe from speech? Just reading it tires me out .. I can’t imagine typing that much.

Boilerplate?

(Funny to hear that, coming from multiple profiles.🥸😷🤠)

The more appropriate song for this thread would be ‘Man gave name to all the animals’ surely

"Man gave names to all the animals

In the beginning, in the beginning

Man gave names to all the animals

In the beginning, long time ago

He saw an animal as smooth as glass

Slithering his way through the grass

He saw him dissappear by a tree near a lake" (Bob Dylan)

Have you ever seen a snake, down by the lake?

"Back to my home, I dare not go, for if I do, my mother will say..."

This. It’s a lot of verbiage.

Since we're talking about animals now, how about a horse joke...

A young cowboy buys a horse from the town preacherman.

The preacherman explains, “to make the horse go, you gotta yell, ‘Thank God!’ And to make it stop, yell, ‘Hallelujah.’”

The cowboy rides off.

He rides all day, gets tired, and starts to nod off in the saddle when he notices he is about to ride straight over a cliff.

Searching his memory, he frantically yells to the horse, “Hallelujah! Hallelujah!”

The horse grinds to a stop just at the edge of the cliff.

The cowboy wipes the sweat off his forehead.

”Phew!” the cowboy sighs. “Thank God!”

Even “hard evidence”, depending on what it is, how it is evaluated, and who is doing the evaluation, and what their objectivity, unconscious agenda, and dozens of other factors is, is open to interpretation...

based entirely on your experience

So, do the experiment today. You'll get your "hard evidence". Then you can interpret it and evaluate it yourself instead of taking my word for it (or rejecting my word, as is the case at present). Instead of rejecting my word without any evidence to the contrary, do the "experiment" and then you'll have a better foundation to stand on, instead of just opinions and assumptions.

Paul had first hand hard evidence.

I do not.

Neither do you or anyone now living.

I did the "experiment" and I got my first hand hard evidence. When was the last time you conducted that "experiment"? What prevents you from doing it today?

4 hours ago, AudreyAnnaNana said:

I have.

I told you I have to go for now, but in the meantime, why don't you try a little experiment? Today. It won't cost you anything except maybe your pride. Test the theory.

Get down on your knees. Literally. Ask Jehovah respectfully to show to you that He exists. Ask Him. Say, "Jehovah, if you really are there, if you really are the True God, then please, will you make it so incredibly obvious to me, like getting hit by a two-by-four or a ton of bricks, because I can't believe it and I can't see it. If you're real, please show me, Jehovah."

You know how to do scientific research according to the scientific method. Test the hypothesis with this unprejudiced experiment. See whether you get your feedback or not.🙂

(Oh, yeah, and when you say your prayer, remember to ask Jehovah to show you the evidence "in Jesus name," because Jesus is the one who will carry out your request, if you are brave enough to do the experiment...😉)

I don’t need to do that.

"“What do you think? A man had two children. Going up to the first, he said, ‘Child, go work today in the vineyard.’  In answer this one said, ‘I will not,’ but afterward, he felt regret and went out.  Approaching the second, he said the same. This one replied, ‘I will, Sir,’ but did not go out.  Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said: “The first.” Jesus said to them: “Truly I say to you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes are going ahead of you into the Kingdom of God.  For John came to you in a way of righteousness, but you did not believe him. However, the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him, and even when you saw this, you did not feel regret afterward so as to believe him.""

You're not the first one to say those words.

I don’t know where you got the impression that I don’t pray and I’m not a believer in Jehovah God and his Son Christ Jesus, probably because you asked me a series of questions, and I answered the first one, usually, and you may have thought I answered different ones.

Listening seems to be a lost art, as well as reading for comprehension.

If your reply is based on what went before, it helps to carefully read what a person has actually written. Otherwise your replies (… and you have VERY long replies … to me a LOT of work …) is based on false assumptions.

I do just the opposite, usually, I reply to someone exactly as if I diagrammed the sentence, even though I know what they actually wrote is not what they meant.

    • By the way, if you're into stuff like this, you might wanna check out https://thepythagoras.com/. They have some neat articles about ancient civilizations and their contributions to science and math. It’s really interesting how much we owe to these early thinkers.
    • The Dendera Zodiac is such an amazing piece of history. Imagine ancient Egyptians looking up at the same stars we do now and creating this detailed map. It's mind-blowing! So, what do I think about it? I think it's a fascinating blend of art and astronomy. Those ancient folks really knew their stuff. The way they incorporated their gods and mythologies into the constellations is just brilliant. And it's not just about the stars, it’s a glimpse into how they viewed the universe and their place in it.
    • FIFA's collaboration with Algorand represents a significant milestone for blockchain technology. Algorand will serve as the official blockchain platform for FIFA, supporting events such as the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand in 2023 and the FIFA World Cup in Qatar in 2022. This partnership is poised to enhance FIFA's digital asset management while boosting Algorand's visibility through advertising and promotional opportunities. On another note, I've been tuning into African football recently. The match between Kanifing East FC and Latrikunda United was unexpectedly impressive. African football often goes underappreciated, yet the skill and enthusiasm in these matches are evident. We can expect even more significant development and excitement in African football with increased attention and support.
